North Korea and the ‘Fire and fury’ threat by Trump

Trump: Visibly angry

After diplomatic hide and seek, threats and counter threats, the spectare of nuclear Holocaust has suddenly become real. With recent reports that North Korea has been able to build a nuclear warhead miniaturized enough to fit into the head of an intercontinental ballistic missile, the walls built around the possibility of attack on the United States crumbled into a ruin of uncertainties. With recent United Nations Sanctions stoking more tensions, the question now is no longer if but when the escalating hostilities will result in direct confrontations. On North Korea’s current trajectory, a collision course with the United States appear inevitable.
Long range Nuclear missiles will need first to leave Earth’s atmosphere to re-position outside the atmosphere to re-enter directly over the targeted location. But the debate has been that North Korean missiles may not have the technology to withstand the radiations engendered by the heat of re-entry into the earth’s atmosphere. In layman’s language, it could disintegrate above the earth without having any real impact on earth. So some experts believe that North Korea is simply pissing in the wind-particularly as it has targeted Guam, as reported by North Korean state-run media. This Island Nation is about 2,000 miles away from North Korea. It could have been easier to target South Korea, or even the American west Coast. This made the argument on the possibility of the reclusive country using the threats as Sabre rattling to instill fear rather than a demonstration of actual intention of aggression.
But the larger than life President of the United states appear to pick up the tempo of Pyongyang’s aggressive tone in his response.”North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States”, he said. “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen… (North Korea) has been very threatening beyond a normal state. They will be met with fire, fury and frankly power the likes of which this world has never seen before,” he said. Translation: Pyongyang is playing with Nuclear annihilation. This, ironically, was what sparked off the threat against Guam.
Meanwhile, drills have increased around South Korea, with Japan and South Korea has joined American fleet. The The South Korean leader, Moon Jae in was quick to react: “I believe our given task is reform of the military. It should be an intensive one. I believe we need a defense reform at a level of a complete overhaul, instead of minor improvements or modifications,” Moon said.
Speculations by some analysts believe that there may be an altercation before the end of the year. If that is the case, then Humanity is on the Brink.
