Young girls who are hired as ushers and waiters at big events turn out to be corporate prostitutes as a recent birthday party for a Chief Executive reveals

The name, Ifeanyi Uba ring-bells even beyond the shores of Nigeria. As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Capital Oil and Gas company, the Anambra state born businessman is one of the respected figures in Nigeria’s Oil and Gas sector. But an event which heralded his 40th birthday held on Saturday, September 10, has the potential of causing serious damages to his untainted personality.
On Friday, September 9, 2011, text messages from an Ikeja based modelling Agency, were sent out to models and intending ushers for 50 female ushers, for the birthday party which was to take place the next day. The Source gathered that the Models were contacted to come for a screening exercise at a studio on Toyin Street, Ikeja, after which they were taken to meet with the clients at Victoria Island.
Intending ushers arrived the Redison Blu Hotel which was the choosen venue for the final selection of the ushers needed. At 4pm, the screening exercise kick started with popular Nollywood star, Kanayo O. Kanayo chairing the panel of judges doing the selection. Soon, the intending ushers were asked to do a series of cat walks, so that their back sides would be viewed. After taking an eye full and choosing the number of girls needed, another round of screening of the selected ladies ensued. This was where the saga started. Surprisingly, the men started calling the ladies into an inner room one after the other. The Source however learnt that the actor and his cronies started asking if they could “work” that night. This was of course an euphemism for spending the night with some willing male guests. An attractive fee of $200 dollars each The Source gathered was later given to those daring ones who ‘worked’ that night, while those who didn’t qualify for the job were given N5,000 each for which was termed rejection fee.
If the request by the screening panel to the selected ushers to “work” till dawn was shocking, what followed later was more than a thunder bolt. One of the intending ushers revealled to The Source that she was asked to take off her top for them to view her stomach. “I refused by telling them that I have alot of stretch marks on my tommy. I did this in order to escape their intending abuse,” she confessed.
Not surprising, some desperate ladies among those selected, agreed to stay behind that night. Similarly, thousands of ladies suffer untold inhuman situation especially in their quest to make an headway in the movie industry. Some Nollywood producers and directors now allegedly indulge in sex-for-role rule as an event played out a little over two months ago.
This ugly act was demonstrated in Surulere, Lagos state. It was discovered that after the Marketers Inaugural Forum which was held at the Festac area of the metropolis, a movie audition was conducted at Winnies Hotel for a movie being sponsored by Simony Productions. The audition which was carried out by a producer called Locomotive; the director of the film, Kevin, Chief security officer of Lagos AGN, and other members of the crew, was said to be packed with new and “wanna-be-actresses” who were ready to do anything possible to get movie roles from the production. After the audition, the men allegedly retired to a popular bar located around the surroundings of Winnies Hotel with some of the girls who wanted to get the scripts by all means. The Source learnt that before the blink of an eye, Locomotive and his cohorts closed the door and windows and instructed the girls to remove their tops. He then asked the desperate movie role seekers if they could seduce a man. They were asked to demonstrate their prowess by stripping naked and romancing the three of them who were with different scripts and swore to give it to them if they fulfill their demands right inside the bara,” The Source was told. Eventually all the girls allegedly complied but the sex predators did not stop there as they ordered them to remove their brassiers. The girls obeyed.
On sighting the girls nakedness, Locomotive and his cohorts ordered them to start touching vital parts of their bodies which lead to an oral sex session inside the bar. This ungodly act was said to have come to the open when other people who came for the audition knocked on the door and did not get any response. It was at this juncture that the owners of this popular bar was invited to investigate what was happening inside.
It took the effort of the manager of the bar before a spear key was used to open the door and when it was flunged open, the men were caught with their pants down. The leadership of the Actors Guild had said it will handle the case according..
