A Malaysian member of parliament, Tasek Gelugor, said girls as young as nine were “physically and spiritually” ready for marriage. He made comments on Wednesday as Malaysia passed a law on sexual offences against children without criminalising child marriage. Mudslides Kills 254 People In Colombia

  Devastating mudslides in the Colombian town of Mocoa killed at least 254 people including 43 children, President Juan Manuel Santos said Sunday, as survivors described gruesome scenes amid the ruins.
